  • Churches : Ancient and magnificent churches are scattered all over the state.   • Forts : The state is embedded with multiple historic forts. Some of which are - Aguda, Cabo Palace, Chapora, Teracol and the Mormugao forts. Each of these has an interesting piece of history attached to it.
  • Carnival : Goa is a state of loving and party making people. The state has a rich, vibrant and colorful culture. There are several unique feasts, carnivals and festivals held every now and then. These are the ideal times to engage in fun, frolic, amusement and merry-making.
  • Spice Plantations : There are two Spice Plantations in Goa, both situated in the Ponda region and are engaged in producing spice powders and mixes out of pepper, cardamom, tamarind, nutmeg, cloves, chilies, cashews and betel nuts.
  • Boat Trips and Fishing : Various pleasure boats and deep-sea fishing trips are available along most of the main beaches in Goa, such as Arambol, Benaulim and Palolem.
  • Cruises : Goa offers its tourists both river cruises as well as sea cruises. Dolphin cruises are especially popular and offer tourist the chance to observe local dolphin species. Some of these also operate around the peaceful backwaters, heading to a number of local attractions, including the spice plantations around Ponda.
  • Sports : Various sporting attractions are on offer all over Goa, such as golf, tennis, cricket, field hockey and football. The list is incomplete without the most loved water sports activities like jet-skiing, windsurfing and parasailing.
  • Trekking : There are a number of elevated trekking trails in the state, where you can enjoy some great views across the state.
  • Bull Fights : This thrilling event takes place between October and May, often being held within the villages of Caranzalem, Santa Cruz and Taleigao.
  • Rave Parties : Goa's frequent outdoor raves are always popular with tourists, with the main party hotspots including shacks at the beaches like Vagator and Anjuna. Open-air raves are at their absolute best around Christmas time and the New Year. Those looking to party inside will find there are a selection of nightclubs available around Baga, Calangute and Candolim.
  • Shopping : Goa is the dream come true for die hard shoppers. The state has several markets and shopping malls where you can buy anything from bamboo works, shells, ceramics, fabrics, gems and jewelry to spices to branded clothes and accessories.
