The Forest Department has also set up a Nature Interpretation Center to impart knowledge to tourists regarding wildlife.

The Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is a treasure of the verdant forests and luxuriant greenery. You can spot a variety of birds and animals in the sanctuary. The commonly seen species include - sloth bears, deer, wild boars, monkeys, laughing hyenas and Indian Bison. Birds like the Rufus Woodpecker, white-eyed eagle and the Malabar crested eagle constitute the avian life that thrives here.
