• Jama Masjid : This religious marvel is located 25 km from the town of Margao in Sanguem. The Jama Masjid got its present looks in 1959, when it was completely renovated since it was falling apart. The new structure is simple yet elegant with two towers, four beautiful minars and a dome shaped cabin in the center.
• Safa Masjid : This is the biggest mosque of Goa and is situated in the city of Ponda. It was built in 1560 by the ruler of Bijapur Ibrahim Adilshan. The huge mosque has a lovely, well-constructed tank nearby. The two major festivals of Id-ul-Fitr and Id-ul-Zuha are celebrated at this mosque with great enthusiasm.
